Sometimes an experimental physics game makes it! Occasionally a game like Goat Simulator will come along and provide you with hours of entertaining mind numbing enjoyment. Fly in the House is not one of those times. You try and hit a fly, by tossing physics enabled items around. That's it! If you read the description and thought it was just a poor attempt at humor, you were wrong. The game doesn't even have good graphics. Average at best in fact. There's just not much going for the game. Sure, it kills a few minutes, but it's hardly worth the current price tag.
In “Fly in the House”, you kill a fly in your house. That’s all there is to it. There is no story or anything. You just pick up any random object you can and try to squash the fly with it by throwing at it. That’s it. The game thinks that it’s funny, but it isn’t. All you do is throw stuff at a fly. Just pick up destructible objects with an unreliable reticle, throw them at other destructible objects, and pray you hit the fly. The “hidden objects” aren’t fun to search for, the various game modes don’t add much, if any variety, and the game is just plain boring. All you do is throw stuff at flies, over and over again. If it seems like this review is repetitive, that’s because the game is repetitive. And boring. Activities that you thought might give you some enjoyment in the game do not. Some might enjoy the game, but most won’t. Odds are if you found me repeating the same points about the game over and over again in this review boring and tedious, then you probably will find repeatedly throwing objects at a fly over and over again in the game boring and tedious as well.
