Frederic Evil Strikes Back improves on the first game by having less annoying characters to play against, new gameplay elements, adding subtitles, usually having better music, and not having one of your abilities potentially crash the game. The game still has the problem of being awkward to play due to the controls, new gameplay features add more elements from Guitar Hero such as having notes that require you to hit two keys, notes to hit multiple times, and notes that give you a bonus if you swipe in a certain direction after hitting (now done with the mouse) are good additions but because of the somewhat awkward controls they can make things difficult or cause you to have to suddenly change how you are controlling the game.
