The game that change FPS games

Half Life... Is literally history in the gaming story now, at least, in the PC gaming community. Valve created a master piece of a FPS genre and now many try to copy or at least try to get close as Half Life was and is nowadays. This pack contains every Half Life (The first one): Half-Life: Blue Shift, Team Fortress Classic (Little bonus), Half-Life: Opposing Force and Half-Life. You should try it out, all of them, you won't regret it. Even now, the controls are good, the graphics may be kinda old, but still pleasant. Recommended.

Must have for all FPP fans!

Half Life 1 Anthology is a collection of every major add-ons released for the first Half-Life, smash hit from Valve that has taken the FPS market by storm. If you by any chance missed on the amazing experience and would like to give this game a try this is the perfect bundle for you as far a low price you get a full experience. Just be warned it was released ages ago in the early years of 3D so the graphics will be quite bad, but the fun factor is strong.

All classic HL games

This pack contains the highly acclaimed Half life, it's stellar expansion, and also, the 2 hour mod Blue shift...and team fortress classic, which is a surprisingl?y fun game. I only heard of the latter, but never actually played it. Boy, it's different then 2. This one is a serious shooter, where teamwork would be key, but it usually just a fragfest nowadays. Anyway, still recommend, to check it out, if you bought this. Just maybe, get some frineds behind you :) The core games are pretty great. Even Blue shift can be fun. Combined, they can be as loing as 15 hours, if you're good. But more likely, on your first try, it will be 25 at least. those monsters can be quite tricky, and that big damn spider was really hard to conquere. Anyway, i recommend this bundle for anyone, who already has portal, and the new games.

Video Game history

The first Half Life is an important milestone in FPS games. This is the first game, where you have to think, to defeat your enemies, that use more sophisticated tactics, then just zerg rushing you. Well, not all enemies, but the commandos are really tough, and constantly try to flank you, and if you hide in a corner, make sure you have some green eggs to sit on. Then, there are puzzles in this game. Not too hard, but certainly more difficult, then finding keys in various colors. The story is also pretty great. I love how they tell it without cut scenes, and you just experience the whole thing, your way. This bundle contains the expansion packs, which are worth playing, one of them is way better t hen the other though. The one where you can be a soldier yourself is truly awesome, and expands the game greatly. The other...it has Barney at least! :) Anyway, this is a must have, but i'd buy the full anthology instead.

Old, but relevant

Though the games included in t this package may be 15 years old, that doesn't mean they lost their value. On the contrary, playing them today will provide you with some insight in the world of game design in the nineties, a new, different experience compared to current FPS games and perhaps some appreciation for the game style that inspired current AAA games. For starters, Team Fortress Classic is a great online FPS that plays well and requires team effort to enjoy its full potential; also, it's the reason why the popular Team Fortress 2 ("Hat Simulator Edition") exists. The main part of the package consists of the original Half-life, considered one of the greatest PC games in history (for good reasons; it was revolutionary at the time it came out and it's still very fun to play today; I recommend this version instead of the Source version because the latter is poorly optimised and not really the improvement it should have been) and its two expansions (primordial DLCs), Opposing Force and Blue Shift, which provide similar, yet fresh experiences. The former features tons of new weapons, enemies, locations and gameplay elements, and has an overall neat feeling to it. The latter, while not very lengthy and not terribly original compared to the other two, offers some nice alien environments, an upgrade to the visuals manifested in the HD texture pack that came with it, and an actual happy ending for the characters involved, including the well-loved Barney from Half-Life 2 (the protagonist from Opposing Force, Adrian Shepard, is a HECU marine - i.e., from the enemy side in the first game - that proves to be just as badass as Gordon; for some reason, this is his only appearance to the date; hopefully, that will change with Half-life 3). All in all, if you want to see where current FPSs draw inspiration from and are ready for the full Half-life experience, then this is the pack for you.
