Simplified Total War

This is a game very similar to the Total War games. You may even call it a simplified clone of these. It reminds me a lot of Empire: TW, although it's not as deep. You have less options, units and certainly much less information and lore - which is not important for gameplay itself, but would make the game much more immersive. The game offers a strategic campaign map where you can manage your country, conduct diplomacy, and recruit military units, as well as a real-time battles mode where you can fight the battles that your armies engage in. Both modes are relatively easy to pick up, but you will need a lot of practice to master them - higher difficulties can be really hard. You can also play historical battles if you don't feel like playing a full campaign. Sadly the AI isn't great, it's enough to give you a challenge, but will make strange choices and errors every now and then. If you learn to exploit them the game becomes suddenly much easier - and not because of you being good, but AI doing something bad. Game should also run on almost anything (including netbooks), which is a bonus. It doesn't offer all of variety or depth of gameplay that the Total War games do, but as a slightly more casual game, it fills its niche well. Recommended if your computer struggles with running Empire: Total War or if you're looking for a different take on a similar genre.

Clone: Total War.

While playing Imperial Glory the first thought you will probably have is "hey, doesn't it look and feel like game from Total War series?". Correct. It's not 1:1 clone, Imperial Glory have some original stuff. Historical battles are really amazing but these or sea are rather painful. For a difficulty level it is mediocore, there isn't anything that would require a great skill in this kind of games. I'm not sure how is the multiplayer but I think it's dead, or maybe doesn't even work since it's "old" game. Ask youself: do you like Total War games? Want to try something similar yet a little bit different? If you want to, try Imperial Glory out.

Nice strategy game

This is a very good war strategy game which I highly recommend. The sound design in the game is truly awesome and there is plenty of dialogue for troops and it is complimented by a great sound track. The graphics in the game are also fairly good and character models look good enough to maintain the illusion that you are fighting real battles. The game play in the game is very involving and the game is full of dangerous battles. The control scheme in the game is very well thought out and makes controlling your troops a joy as you navigate through the campaign. Recommended!
