Extremely peacefull game! The music is nice, the graphics are good and the game is very pleasant.. I really enjoy this one for spending 30 minutes (or more) relaxing playing cards.. No much to say about this game, except go for it if you like the solitaire thing as i do :-)
Jewel Quest Solitaire is a fun adventure card game. There is a good variety in levels and the jewel swapping mini game adds a layer of depth. The game has a gentle learning curve and the levels start off simple. You are also given clear instructions and hints at the beginning of the game and as a result, you learn the essential gameplay concepts of solitaire very quickly. The different locations make card suites look different and this adds a variety of visuals to the game. The background ambient noises create a nice vibe, especially in the second stage of levels. As you progress into the game, you get wild cards with varying abilities such as a x7 on the multiplier. It would have been nice to be able to play the jewel swapping mini game from the main menu any time but that’s only a minor complaint I have. I also occasionally experienced scenarios where the game would not respond to menu commands, forcing me to close the game and re-load it from the desktop, but again this is not a major issue. Overall this is a solid game. Although the premise can get repetitive, there are a variety of card placements in levels and the different ambient sounds are welcoming. The wild cards also add a layer of depth to the levels and the jewel swapping games add a layer of excitement.
As the title of my review states, this game is rather fun. It is certainly a step up from normal Windows solitaire as it has different levels and bonuses, etc. However, the game is not so great as to warrant the asking price of over $10 bucks. If you enjoy casual games like this, or are an avid solitaire fan, I'd pick this up, but only when it's on sale (like it is now).
Well, solitaire is a card game, which is played by our mothers and sisters. This game is the only reason they turn on computers and use Windows. At least many people thinks like that ;]. And here we have example of game based on solitaire which is...pretty addictive. Again - it's hard to say why, but all this different levels, funny bonuses, enjoyable graphics and animations are making this game really nice. I'm RPG fan and I enjoy solitaire, it's weird and I can't explain it, but I want more!
