Lost Planet Extreme Condition is one of the best titles of Capcom in 2006 that first was released exclusively for Xbox 360 Console and laster came to PC. It was the first game which support DirectX 10. I think one of the negative points about this game is shortcoming of its campaign Which consists of 11 chapters only and can easily be completed in less than 10 hours. The games's story is an ordinary that can not encourage the gamer to continue the game. The game's graphics are super nice and there are fewer defects in this part of the game. Pros: Good environment design and enemies exciting campaigns good graphics high-speed gameplay Cons: Having a large number of bugs in the game very short for Single Palyer has a problem with controlling the camera when controlling VSs Regardless of the problems in the game, Lost Planet is a beautiful game that can entertain you several hours.
This is one of the first games that I've added to my Steam library. But even sentiment cannot save this title. Lost Planet is mediocre. It has the characteristics of a good action game but definitely missing something in it that would attract to the monitor for more than few moments. On the other levels are action packed so you will shoot a loot to finish this title but I may get boring after a while.
How bad this game aged! Back when it was released it was like a must have, but nowadays it feels so soulless I barely can recommend it. Anyway, it is better than its sequels. Lost Planet is a third person shooter game where you do nothing but shooting. You face some huge creatures that makes the boss battles really fun and you use mechas from time to time to destroy waves of enemies. It is like playing a Starship Troopers game in a frozen planet where it is snowing the whole time (pretty boring visuals because of that) in an asian-style with mechas equiped with powered cannons and invincible action heroes. Still the best choice of the series, but it gets worse as years go by.
Lost Planet Colonies is a game with a good original premise, but just isnt executed well. It does have decent graphics considering it originally came out around 5 years ago. The gameplay is fun at first, but then becomes repetitive. Except for the bosses at the end of each level, the game has you doing the same thing every level: go from point a to point b killing the same monsters and soldiers. The story is very weak as well. This is a "pick it up when it's on sale" kind of game.
Lost Planet is a great action game taking place in frozen planet where giant insect-like creatures called the Akrids are making their best to stop the humans from colonizing the place. Thanks to the grappling hook, the vehicles, the Thermal Energy gauge and the controls, Lost Planet offers an experience that is quite unique among Third Person Shooter and everything works pretty smoothly. It’s a blast to play the single player campaign even if the story is a bit confusing. The Level design and the boss fights also are great. Adding to the fun of the campaign, there is an excellent online mode. The modes are classic (For instance the one with the Akrid Egg is your typical Capture the Flag mode) but the gameplay makes the multiplayer experience very interesting to play.
