This game has a rather unique presentation. The Clay animation is super cute, and works really well. Too bad the gameplay is not as good as it's graphics. I liked the shoot'em up part, but that genre is like making ice cubes, you can't screw it up. Just not possible. The landing is more difficult, but overall I was okay with it....kinda. The platforming part is terrible. Maybe it was better if I didn't have to control the guy with a mouse, but damn... Anyway, i received it for free, so I can't be too mad at the game, and i absolutely fell in love with it's looks so I guess if you like Clay, this one is pretty OK.
I like the idea of 3 gameplay modes. But if you're going to have three modes, they need to be decent. NUX does not achieve that. The vertical shoot'em up mode is okay, the lunar lander mode is frustrating and the platformer mode is just terrible. It's simply not worth the effort. The clay animation is okay but there seems to be some graphic glitches such as thin lines across the screen. The music is suitable but is repetitive and can get annoying. If you're interested in clay animation games of this type, try Platypus.
