RACE 07 – The Official WTCC Game features the full FIA WTCC season of 2007 including all cars and tracks, as well as several new support classes and tracks from all over the world. The game also features the full WTCC season of 2006 which was included in the games predecessor RACE – The WTCC Game, released in 2006 on PC.
For the first time ever SimBin is also presenting single seat action with Formula cars. Race with the incredibly fast Formula 3000, Formula BMW and in addition also the Radical sports cars with the models SR3 and SR4.
To support these new race classes the player will be offered the choice between one or two-race format. The highly detailed damage system is also adapted to give the Formula cars the vulnerability they have in real life.
RACE 07 comes with a score of new tracks and added track variations including several new city tracks, alternate track layouts and reversed track option. Several new community oriented features, game modes and online functionalities will also be announced later.
All in all, RACE 07 features more than 300 cars in 9 different classes on 32 real life racing tracks and city circuits from all over the world.
The full 2007 and 2006 seasons of the WTCC, the historic WTCC’87 class, Formula 3000, Formula BMW, the Mini Cooper Challenge, the Radical SR3 and SR4 (in various configurations), as well as the Caterham CSR200, CSR260 and CSR320 Concept
Intense “single seater” action: on these open race cars SimBin has developed a helmet camera as never seen before. Not only does it accurately resemble the view from inside a helmet, it also has all the visor dynamics the real fan could wish for. The visor gets dirty and can be cleaned by pulling a protective layer of plastic off, the so called “tear-off.”
32 different tracks and variations from all over the world, including unique city tracks as well as legendary tracks such as Monza, Zandvoort, Brands Hatch and Imola
Online World Championship functionality with rankings and leader boards
Human-like AI opponents that behave as natural race drivers, trying to force the player into error
Enhanced community appeal, community drivers, customized skins and league-support Foundation for later expansions, meaning that this title is kept up to date with patches on a very regular basis. New features, updated technology and new content.. all for free to RACE 07 owners.

As i have got it with GTR Evolution some time ago and had some fun playing it i must say that it is a extraordinary racing game which is worth the price it wear's The game is keeping it simple and trying to keep it realistic in the same time, the retro graphics of the game make it feel great even tough its old its still worth playing any time, any day So if your planning of buying and playing this i would suggest you a Racing Wheel for PC even tough its still as fun as keyboard but highly recommended,if you want to buy this then im suggesting you do it.
Simbin always makes amazing sim racing games and this one is no exception. This is a must have to any racing game fan's collection. Use a wheel and pedals for immersion into the experience. The graphics are great, the sounds are beautifully realistic and the game is programmed wonderfully with no glitches or crashes. I very highly recommend this and Simbin's other racing games.
If you are looking for a racing sim on a budget this is the way to go. While the game is several years old, it has aged pretty well. The graphics and performance are good, even on a midrange PC. You will want to use a wheel with this game as it does have simulator physics. The tire physics are actually the main problem I have with the game. The skidding dynamics of the tires does not feel real. This inhibits powerslides and drifting, so if you are looking for a racing game to drift in, this might not be it. It is after all built as a touring car sim. Multiplayer is fun, though it took some figuring out with opening ports (the specific ports are listed on Simbin's website). Unfortunately it does not have splitscreen multiplayer. The community support is good and features a fair amount of user made content. Because Race 07 shares parts of its engine with several other games there are several mod conversions available.
Simbin has done an awesome job with this game, and it's because of this that Race 07 is enjoyable for those of us who aren't into hardcore racing sim games. There's cars in here from all the different types, from modified Minis to full-blown Formula super cars. The tracks are set all over the world, and can feature realistic weather effects, should you so desire them. You can race from a following perspective, or even in-car if you like, with operable controls that mimic what you're doing at the moment. The online racing component is still very much alive, and racing with a bunch of humans is so much more fun than the AI, even though that in itself is very competent. Cheaters are a problem in the online races, but they're always "named 'n shamed" by the community and quickly disappear or clean up their act. The community is very friendly to newcomers, and any help offered is always a suggestion, never a demand. For a $5 racer, you cannot possibly go wrong with Race 07, which will give you plenty of hours of great-looking fun for an insanely low price.
This game is a pretty fun racing simulation. The price is reasonable for the content that you get. There's alot of championships and different vehicles for each of these. And, my favourite feature, is the cockpit view. It feels pretty realistic, maybe not as realistic as DiRT 2 or 3, but realistic, nonetheless. If you do have a steering wheel, be sure to try it with one, as the feeling is much better than with a keyboard. The cars are fairly textured and look pretty decent, considering the game is a few years old. I'd recommend the game, for the full price.
