Rayman, Barbara, Globox, and the Teensies are off wandering through an enchanted forest when they discover a mysterious tent filled with a series of captivating paintings. As they look more closely, they notice each painting seems to tell the story of a mythical world. While focusing on a painting that shows a medieval land, they are suddenly sucked into the painting, entering the world, and the adventure begins. The gang must run, jump and fight their way through each world to save the day and discover the secrets of every legendary painting.

In a quick summary of Rayman: Origins, it's a fun, very detailed and visually awesome game. It's a great side scrolling game completely reinvented from what it used to be. The controls are tighter than ever and it's a total 10/10 fun factor. I give this game a 10/10. It builds upon everything in ORIGINS and it returns bigger and better than it's predecessor. The visuals are something to really look at. From the designs of the levels, to enemies to the characters, each thing has it's own unique visual artistic value, something not seen in too many videogames. You can unlock way more than you could in Origins. From way more characters, to hidden levels, to a bunch of unlockables. Rayman: Legends is a side scrolling game with tight controls. Not much has changed as far as actual gameplay from Origins to Legends. They do add the little character that helps you and you have to press O at certain parts and he will cut ropes down and bring platforms to you, adding another level of challenging complexity. Unlike Origins, Legends has ONLINE challenges to keep you competitive and keep you on the edge of your seat as you try to collect more Lums than people from across the world. You're ranked by Bronze, Silver and Gold Trophies. As you progress and you keep unlocking everything the game has to offer your awesomeness meter goes up. Kind of like a progress bar. Rayman: Legends biggest lure is just the big beautiful levels. Like I said earlier, these artistic designs and hidden details and secrets are unlike anything I've ever seen in any videogame before. It's such a crazy, fun, beautiful game to play. The challenge is there for perfectionist to get the GOLD trophy in every level and collect all the secrets. Or if you're a casual player you can have fun just getting from point A to point B. I just had to try and collect as many things as I could. Luckily if you die in a level you can keep restarting at checkpoints so you don't lose ALL your progress. Rayman: Legends is something different. It brings you back to the side scrolling 16 bit era. It's a great game and feels refreshing and new again to play. So many secrets and things to unlock will keep you entertained for HOURS. I would recommend this game to anyone.
Take a weird trip into the strangely animated world of Rayman. While it is a fun game with a lot of awesome visuals and strange fighting style, I'm not sure if I can recommend this game at full price. If you catch it on sale though at a good price, it is a very solid platformer that will kill a lot of your free time if you let it.
Outside of Mario's, probably the best platforming game (or games, really, Rayman Origins is also stellar). Play it with brother in law and his kids and really is a blast. Is uncomplicated enough for the kids to actually be capable at to - this is age bracket 4.5years. Also, on that front the personally of the thing helps. It graphically beautiful and oozes charm. Oh, and it handles perfectly; never floating or erratic, if you achieve an outcome it's because you've timed it right, if you don't it's because you haven't - no randomness to it.
Good old rayman is back again! The winning formula from the previous game is back with lots of more levels. Gameplay is fast paced, full of running, jumping, dodging, stomping and squishing. A ton of levels to play and even includes a few select ones from Rayman Origins. Lots of stuff to collect both within the level and as part of a meta-game. New characters to play as unlockable via collecting stuff or special challenge levels. Also has weekly and daily challenging, compete with your friends and with the rest of the world. Sharp and colorful graphics in 2.5D. Bottom line a solid title, lots of fun, hours and hours of gameplay and high replayability value. Highly recommended to any fan of the game or the genre, and anyone else looking to have fun. On a side note: Works slightly better with a controller rather than with the keyboard.
