In the wake of her father’s death, Lara’s uncle challenges her ownership of Croft Manor. Lara must explore her childhood home in the new “Blood Ties” story mode to reclaim her legacy and uncover a family mystery that will change her life forever. In “Lara’s Nightmare” hordes of the undead overrun Croft Manor, and Lara must defend it before the nightmare overwhelms her! “Blood Ties” includes over an hour of additional single player story, as well as community challenges with card modifiers that allow you to compete against your friends’ scores in “Lara’s Nightmare”. This pack also includes five classic Lara Croft skins, an outfit and weapon inspired by Tomb Raider III, and the new “Extreme Survivor” difficulty setting for the main campaign. With over an hour of new story, a replayable combat mode, classic skins, a new outfit and weapon, and a new difficulty mode, this is the perfect way to celebrate 20 years of the iconic Lara Croft.
20 Year Celebration Pack only contains 2 DLCs with some outfits for Lara and of course a new difficulty setting as "Extreme Survivor" for the main game, so if you think you can upgrade your main game to Rise of the Tomb Raider - 20 Year Celebration version which includes base game and all of the dlcs which has been released for it, you are so wrong! and in order to get all dlcs you need to buy Season Pass which also contains this pack. and about 2 dlcs which this pack offers i can say Blood Ties since has some storytelling about Lara's past can be enjoying but it's kinda too short! and the other dlc is just a Survival Mode which if you are looking for some challenge and killing hordes of ZOMBIES! you may like this pack!
If you have bought Rise of the Tomb Raider season pass, then you are safe, because this is part of it. To clear some confusion that goes around the internet, 20 Year Celebration Pack is not a simple skin pack. Yes, it has some weapon skins, new outfits and even hilarious new model for Lara - recreated model from the third game, which is out of place and awesome at the same time. The meat of this Celebration Pack are Croft's Manor that is in Blood Ties and Lara's Nightmare. Blood Ties is pretty interesting story DLC that is a throwback to classic Tomb Raider games with all the puzzles and finally being in the manor. It is awesome, well paced and with some cool puzzles, but the only downside of that is the length, which is around 2 or 3 hours. Doesn't sound bad, but when you play it, you'll wish there was more. As for Lara's Nightmare, it is simple horde mode, where you slay waves of enemies. It is competent, but personally, I don't care much about things like this. Overall, nice package, although I think you're better off getting either Season Pass or 20 Year Celebration edition if you don't have the game. Content itself is high quality and I recommend it.
