Game description

Silver, a corrupt and sinister sorcerer, rules the land of Jarrah with an iron fist. He and his henchmen have abducted the village women as part of a pact with the almighty god, Apocalypse.

Now, only one man can put a stop to Silver and his minions. That man is you, David, a promising young knight whose wife is among the captured. In order to succeed you'll need to recruit allies, master your swordplay, learn the art of magic, and venture through hostile worlds teeming with Silver's corrupt followers to find 8 lost artifacts. Begin your quest, and become a hero!

Key Features:

• Intuitive Swordplay
Silver's unique control method allows quick and intuitive handling of action, which is especially helpful in the heat of battle. In effect, the mouse becomes the player's ""sword arm"". Sweep the mouse to your left and your hero will slash to the left, sweep the mouse forward and your hero will lunge. Magical effects, throwing knives, arrow, and even catapults are also controlled through the mouse system.
• Interact with more than 50 characters. Be wary, not all are friendly
• Recruit allies, all with special abilities-Sekune is a master of archery, Cagen is a skilled martial artist, Jug's strength makes him a force to be reckoned with, and more
• Travel through hundreds of beautiful locations, rich in detail...and packed with danger
• Immerse yourself in battle with real-time combat
• Marvel at vivid special effects, powerful magical spells, and mighty weaponry that you'll acquire on your journey
• Use your mouse as your sword-vanquish your foes, including demons, dragons, and other insidious creatures

Classic worth replaying.

Silver is an old game, it remembers the time when Windows 95 was the thing. So one can say the game is ancient but luckily it did age well. Luckily the port runs well and I have not found any problems with impossibility issues when it comes to running on Windows 10. There are some small bugs though but the gameplay is as solid as it was all these years ago so if you like classic games try it out.

Better game than Diablo

hosein_kazemi

An underrated and unique game, great and fantastic controls, great soundtrack and voices and great landscapes. The story is the same as most of hero games, a man who tries to save his lover, from a tiran who wants to control all the free people. Even so, the details of the story are interesting and it's like reading a book or watching a movie. The gameplay, it's like click and slash with some alterations. Here, the movement given with the mouse, gives a diferent atack. It could be difficult to get used to, but I find it very funny. The soundtrack, nothing to say... Just great music changing with the action in the game. The graphics could use some work, with some glitches and low res characters. Overrall, I think this is a very well made game. It's a pity not to have a sequel of this great game...

Unexpected return

Silver is a RPG from the 90s that went under the radar of many (reason being it got destroyed by reviewers), which is a shame, because while Planescape and other games dominated the market when it released, it was a good game. It is solid, but simple, re-release of the game to make it work on Windows XP and up, which is a good thing, since you don't have to pray to the Gods of Gaming for this to work. While the graphics did not age that well, the soundtrack is really excellent and dialogs are well written, although story is nothing to write home about. Real time combat is also well done and is not play and pray like Pillars of Eternity or Dragon Age, you are in full control. Only thing bad, if I would have to pick one, is the infamous difficulty, because it has difficulty spikes, and the 90s "open world", meaning you have to figure out everything on your own, because the game won't guide you. If you're not turned off by the graphics, pick this game up, the price is just right to try the game and see for yourself this good game and laugh at how wrong back in the day.
