Still holds strong till this day.

Great continuation of the first part. One of the few games that can perfectly combine RTS and RPG. The campaign is quite long (especially when the Dragon Lord is taken into consideration) and its plot is interesting. The side quests, are also quite fun, although some (especially those that rely on finding an item) can annoy. Graphics in spite of age the game is quite pleasing to the eye, as long as someone is not as demanding. I would definitely recommend.

Flawless RPG and RTS combination

Mscigniew

Spellforce 2 is a hybrid of RPG and RTS and Im not talking about RTS with couple of leveling up units,in Spellforce you got an actuall RPG missions and RTS missions. The story is long and very good, actually if you played Dragon Age,you cant miss how many things guys from Bioware"steal" from Spellforce 2 story, dont want to give you any spoilers but it doesnt take a genius to see all the similarities between those two tittles.Spellfroce 2 was the first game that used "shining" technology and graphics still look nice.Finished the game 3 times and deffinitly gonna give it another go.If your not familiar with this game, just buy you wont regret it.

Pretty good.

This game is a really good RPG strategy game. The story, system, and graphics are well worth playing. The game is addictive. And is good for anybody who either likes RPGs or strategy games. I would definitely suggest this game. 4 stars!!

A masterpiece in it's own right.

This game is a beautiful mix of oldschool style RTS and RPG gameplay. The campaign is well written and extremely long. It will provide you with endless hours as entertainment, especially when you get lost in the fun of base and army building. The graphics are good, especially on the buildings, which will make building expansive, impressive bases a rewarding task. Army units are detailed too, making large armies a sight to behold. The controls for the game can get a little wonky at times, but it is nothing that will ruin the experienced for a seasoned veteran or someone new to the genre. The story is well written and will pull you in to the point that you will want to play more just to unravel more of the story. The game will last you a long time between the campaign and scenario modes, and you will find yourself getting sucked into the experience and staying to play much longer than you really should.
