“Their newly revealed light-footed mouse-controlled theft game… demonstrates that there is still the capacity for innovation in the stealth genre.” The Guardian (Will Freeman)
“If you're a fan of the genre, you'd be remiss not to give it a try — it features a lot of classical stealth mechanics, all of which intertwine to create a surprisingly tense, challenging experience.” Polygon (Griffin McElroy)
“Well worth a look if you’ve ever dreamed of not only being a master thief, but doing so in the kind of style that is only possible after hitting some high-end boutiques for a formal suit and flagrantly stylish new hat” Rock Paper Shotgun (Laura Kate Dale)
Hold the front page: a once magnificent art collection left behind by a kindly benefactor has been unscrupulously poached and split up among private collectors around London! Enter Sophia Take, the rightful heir to the misappropriated masterpieces and, now, a would-be cat burglar to boot!
To reclaim her inheritance, players must help Sophia embark on an exciting and daring heist adventure packed with fast-paced thieving action. Armed only with a talent for misdirection and the friendship of two like-minded portrait purloiners, she sets out to steal back what was once hers…
Packed with thought-proving dilemmas and high-security measures, The Marvellous Miss Take turns the stealth genre on its head by using organised chaos to keep players on their toes. Successfully pilfering portraits isn’t as easy as it may seem: wandering guards decide their patrol routes on the fly, security cameras keep watch over everything and even innocent gallery goers just visiting to admire the art might raise the alarm if they see something suspicious. Only by using quick wits and even quicker reflexes can players hope to grab the loot and escape unseen – there’s no option for violence and the clock ticking!
Organised Chaos – More than your typical stealth game, The Marvellous Miss Take is a fluid, high-speed game of cat and mouse! Random guard patterns require players to think on their feet rather than hiding in the shadows, and one false move means escape can be snatched away from you in seconds.
Wits, Not Fists – Forget violence, takedowns or picking off guards one by one… distraction's the key to success here! Each stage stays tense from the first step to the last, so put your gadgets to good use to keep out of trouble and pilfer everything you can before someone spots you!
The Bigger Picture – Sneak into the 25 multi-floored galleries as one of three different characters, each of which has their own unique skills and goals. Can you escape safely with the maximum amount of loot and grab yourself a perfect ranking?
Artfully Accessible – Streamlined, intuitive mouse controls let you explore the colourful world of The Marvellous Miss Take with ease, making the exciting puzzle-cum-stealth action accessible to players of all ages and skills.
The Perfect Plan – Enjoy a funny, engaging story written by BAFTA winner James Leach that unfolds as you steal back more of your inheritance!

The Marvellous Miss Take is a cutesy stealth game. Your mission is to steal artworks and not be spotted by the wandering guards, standard stuff where you avoid the line of sight and try not to make too much sound while walking. Nothing new to be honest but these type of games are strangely appealing and I always have a lot of fun with that kind of title. So I recommend.
The Marvellous Miss Take is a wonderful stealth game, it is quite challenging, since you have to rely on distractions and analyzing the situations you see yourself in rather than taking your obstacles out one by one. Gameplay is probably the game's strongest point. You play as Miss Sophia Take, whose objective is recovering paintings that one were her grandmother's. The player has to infiltrate buildings with multiple floors and steal the paintings, while avoiding guards, dogs, and security cameras, making use of different gadgets and distractions. The game's soundtrack really fits its setting, and I think it is among the best I have heard in an indie game. The Marvellous Miss Take is a must have for fans of stealth games. I must say, though, that it is somewhat short.
A top down, non violent, stealth game featuring 25 levels and three different characters to play as. Each character has a different objective when going into one of the 25 levels. One steals paintings, another character steals a different kind of painting and has an item to distract guards but is unable to run, the final character pickpockets keys to open and steal from safes. While the level is the same using different characters might cause changes with the security. Certain characters have their own bonus goals such as stealing additional artwork, not being caught, or finishing the level under a certain time. You can lure guards by making noise, attracting them to the location of the sound, or you can use items found on each level to do things like create distractions or to teleport. Cover can be used to hide from or to avoid guards, but certain enemies, like dogs, can find you by scent if you get to close to them. A good game I would recommend trying but too simple for me mechanically, though it does start to get challenging.
I can say that The Marvellous Miss Take is a challenging game with lots of fun. Basically you play as Miss Sophia who is trying to steal back her aunt's pieces of art which rightfully are hers. The game is charming and unique, it provides lots of challenges with the unpredictable guards movement. This game has beautiful soundtrack and a smooth gameplay with some new ideas to stealth games. there is also some humor combined with wonderful art style and smart UI. When you look at the game you will think it is simplistic, but actually its more deep and you will get hooked to it when you start playing it. It is a good game with replay value.
