Game description

You are walking down a street you don't recognize, the fog slowing your pace to a crawl as darkness blinds you. You pause and look up to see a house; candles flicker in every window, like a beacon. Climbing the few steps to the front door, you realize many years have passed since it was last opened – it has been sealed with rust and purpose. Inexplicably, just as you know the candles are for you, you know someone waits inside. Someone who has remained in that house since before the iron began to rust. They have been patient. Waiting for over two decades. Waiting for you.

True Fear: Forsaken Souls takes the best of the psychological thriller, blending in fun and intuitive gameplay mechanics. The cinematics, puzzles and hidden object phases have been carefully developed and are steeped in a unique and oppressive atmosphere. Episode 1, the first in a trilogy, will long be remembered.

The best hidden objects game

"True Fear" is one of the best hidden objects game I have ever played. The atmosphere of the game is very gloomy and really creepy. What I particularly like is that it is a real horror game and not like most hidden object games. Not really something for the weak nerves. This title is so far the most expensive game I have seen in this genre. Rendered video sequences tell the story and I really liked how it's done. They really have the quality of a good horror movie! The jigsaw puzzles are relatively typical, but the hidden Images are mostly much more ingenious than in other games in the same genre, because you do not always get a list of objects that you simply have to find, but often have to do small tasks interactively in order to continue. The sound is always creepy, both music and sound effects. It really contributes to the gruesome atmosphere. Playing with a controller is very intuitive and does not look as bulky as I expected. All inputs are visualized and it's very easy to play. So, if you just want to sit back and enjoy the game, you'll have fun despite the slower cursor. If you like hidden objects games, you should definitely get it. Also, point & click fans can easily get attached to it. No need to mention that if you are a fan of the horror genre it's definitely a must have.
