Compared to the crazy amount of Hidden Object Games available on Steam Twilight City: Love as a Cure is mediocre at best. First things first - it does what most HOGs does great as well - artstyle is wonderful, graphics are detailed and beautiful. But everything else is very weak. While HOGs usually don't have complex game mechanics they hook you up with great stories. Here story is very weak and for most of game there is no story at all. Dialogues are badly written and many times make no logical sense. The puzzles are average - game offers nothing unique compared to competition and repeating same task on every screen without any change gets boring very fast. Lengths is not bad not good - like most HOGs you can finish it in 3-4 hours. All in all - only really good thing about this title are graphics, but there are many as great looking HOGs available that offer much more.
Twilight City: Love as a Cure is a casual hidden object and puzzle game that was developed a few years ago but recently made its way to Steam, unlike many of the other games like it, this one also has some RPG elements. The writing is often poor as is the voice work that accompanies the game's cutscenes. You are able to choose your gender, modify your appearance, and explore the town by going to different areas, taking different jobs, and helping the others that live in Skylight. It often isn't any more involved than the usual dating sim style game, click on a job you want, earn money, and raise your experience level with that job. You can spend money on different things such as spells, mounts, or decorating your home. It's a simple game, and not very long but can be entertaining for more casual or younger players.
