Vecto thrust is a pretty decent game but is also very hard to learn. You will be fumbling with the controls and messing up a lot of times before you can confidently fly and fight others. The gameplay itself is very realistic at least in my opinion and I find it really satisfying to see the enemy that I shot down plummet to the ground. The planes are nice and you can customise them to your liking and overall it's a great game all I think it's missing is a voice chat.
I bought vector thrust because I also bought a new joystick for Elite: Dangerous and felt like it'd be good to try a jet fighter simulator. I was pretty impressed when I tried the game. While I find the graphics to be a bit of a downside, the game itself is pretty darn good. By changing to the front view without all of the cockpit junk that's normally in the way, you're able to see clearly in front of you, and with a quick rotation of the joystick, behind as well. I found the different jets actually different, meaning they weren't the same style of control for all, but instead they actually felt different. This is something that isn't always accomplished in jet fighter games. Overall, I'll rate this game an 80 out of 100, because I'd prefer a training mode and I'd prefer more realistic graphics. Good deal!
Dogfight Arcade games are not so common nowadays so titles like Vector Thrust are most welcome on PC. You like Ace Combat? This is basically the same thing. It's as Arcade as it can get. The game offers a great amount of customisation and the gameplay is excellent. Visually, it's a mix bag. Vector Thrust uses cel-shading to create really great looking fights in the air. However, the ground is poorly made (Well, you're not supposed to spend much time near the ground anyway). It's a fun game with a very fast pace. Too bad there are no cockpit view.
Vector thrust is a really good game. Pretty much everything is solid however if you look at the type of community that plays it then that is where the trouble begins. Dont get me wrong they arent bad, they are good, they are really good and this means that anyone trying to get into the game for the first time will really struggle and then you have to realize that there will not be a lot of people on the game in the first place. In terms of graphics and physics this game can be compared to a triple A game easily its just a shame that next to no one plays it.
Vector Thrust looks and feels a lot like Ace Combat, but with a faster-paced, more arcadey Star Fox-esque feel. The controls are solid, and it's great dogfighting action through and through. The game isn't graphically amazing, but a lot of the planes themselves look super sleek. All of this combined with the varied enemy types and challenge modes make this a fun game you'll be putting many hours into.
