As previously promised, Call of Duty will be launching their first battle pass for the Modern Warfare reboot just in time for Christmas this year (2019).
Speaking of the games first Battle Pass, revealed yesterday during their third-quarter earnings call, Activision president Robert Kostich re-iterated that they “feel it’s the right thing to do for the game and how it’s designed, and more importantly, we think it’s the right thing to do for our players.”
As is usually the case, the Call of Duty Modern Warfare Battle pass will have free and premium tiers with players able to see all the content they could earn on both tiers. It was also re-inforced that items and cosmetics earned in the premium tier will not affect in-game balance.
The battle pass will coincide with the launch of its Season 1 content, which apparently is coming a little later than originally planned, suggesting that developers Infinity Ward are still hard at work on balancing content and ensuring it maintains the games high standard of quality.
That’s not all though, if you can’t wait till then for new content, two new multiplayer maps and the return of the Hardpoint Multiplayer mode are scheduled to return to the game today (8th November) as part of continued plans to have a constant stream of free content added in for players to enjoy. This comes after the popular ‘Night mode’ has already been added along with the ‘Kill Confirmed’ multiplayer mode.
