Gordy and her punk band, Dead Pets, have been playing together for… a while, and have never made it big. Heading into their 30s, their personal responsibilities and the band's uncertain future is looming over them. Do they have what it takes to give Dead Pets one last shot at success?
STEP TWO: WRITE A KILLER EP
Dead Pets Unleashed is a feminist, management-lite, minigame-heavy, slice-of-life, narrative game; about music, friendship, and maturing. Playing as Gordy, you’ll go to band practice, manage Gordy’s finances and wellbeing, as well find time to earn enough money to cover... well, everything.
Decide where Gordy’s priorities lie to shape the future of the Dead Pets band. With different endings, Gordy will have the chance to grow up in different ways, depending on the choices you make.
STEP THREE: ACE THE FESTIVAL
Long-term friendships can be messy, especially when everyone grows up at their own pace. The effect a job, romance, or changing lifestyle has can impact the whole band.
On top of everything else, the band's first taste of success comes at the cost of Gordy’s mental health and physical wellbeing. Gordy struggles with what it means to be a victim, and how to move forward.
STEP FOUR: MAKE IT BIG

It’s time to get loud, grow up, and rock out.
GAMEPLAY
Narrative slice of life, minigames, and a management system.
You play as Gordy, the protagonist of Dead Pets Unleashed. Get to know the characters through conversations and travel around New Void City, visiting places like her favorite record store, the best dive bar in the city, her parent's house, and going to band practice.
We change up the gameplay with minigames! Such as diner dash minigame when you're at work, making a hotdog after work, a rhythm game for when you're at band practice.
Gordy is pretty irresponsible when it comes to money. You’ll need to keep track of her finances, as well as Gordy's wellbeing, the band's power, and her social points through choices in the game.
- Killer Soundtrack: Dead Pets Unleashed features a punk rock EP performed during the game.
- Minigames for Days: Including working a shift at a diner (diner dash), rhythm games, and making hot dogs.
- A Demon City filled with Life: New Void City is filled with NPCs to befriend, with their own storylines.
- Success is in Your Hands: There will be multiple endings - with the success of the band determined by your choices throughout the game.
- Cartoonish Inspirations: For fans of Bojack Horseman and Tuca and Bertie. We were inspired by their colorful, surreal worlds, long-term and complicated adult friends, and zany, offbeat humor.
- Manage Your Choices: Every choice affects Gordy's wellbeing, the band's power, her social points, or costs money.
