Here’s all the latest Animal Crossing update news and what we know about the game’s update schedule.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update News – September 2021
September has seen the seasons turn once again as we move into Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere and Spring in the Southern. This change brings with it loads of new materials to collect, DIY recipes to explore, and events to take part in. Here’s all the Animal Crossing update news for September.
If you’re in the Northern Hemisphere you’ll now be able to grab acorns and pine cones which drop from your trees along with Autumn crafting recipes you can shoot down from flying balloons. In the Southern Hemisphere you can start chopping bamboo trees to start collecting Young Spring Bamboo which will see you build some brilliant bamboo-flavoured items.
The Grape Harvest festival has returned, running between the 1st and 30th of September. In it you’ll be able to grab the Grape-Harvest Bucket from Nook Shopping which is an incredibly useful rare backpack accessory.
Moon Viewing Day is back as well, refreshed with new items for you to collect. Occurring between the 12th and 21st of September, you’ll be able to get your hands on the returning Moon Rug but also Moon Cakes and Dango, new for this year.
The last Bug-Off event is also coming in September, taking place on the 25th. Flick’ll be back holding a tournament to see who can catch the most bugs, with bug-themed prizes up for grabs.
In terms of new events for Animal Crossing: New Horizons in September, the Korean Autumn harvest festival is coming. Between the 12th and 21st of September you’ll be able to take part in Chuseok and grab some Autumnal foods for your kitchen table.
In addition to the events above, you’ll see decorations change throughout September as well as new bugs, sea creatures, and fish to catch which differ between Northern and Southern Hemispheres. The biggest change for 2021, however, is the introduction of Tea Olive Bushes in the Northern Hemisphere, a new addition from September the 21st. Be quick though, as they’ll only last until Holly bushes take over in November.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update Schedule
In terms of upcoming Animal Crossing: New Horizons updates, we don’t have much information just yet as Nintendo are playing it close to the chest with letting everyone know what they have planned. This means that we currently do not expect a September update at this time, as no information has been given about the current Animal Crossing update schedule.
That said, we do know that a large update is in the works following 1.11’s Fireworks Show update. When this update launched, Nintendo announced that a large, free update will be released in the coming months. When this will be launched and what it entails is currently unknown with heavy speculation coming from all sides, but there are rumours the much-anticipated 2.0 update may be on the cards.
Whatever’s coming, we’re sure that Animal Crossing: New Horizons updates will continue coming, revitalising our islands and making sure there’s always plenty to see and do throughout the end of 2021 and into 2022.
