Apex Legends has done a great job of keeping the game feeling fresh with new content coming from the season passes. With the latest season, season 9, Apex Legends introduced a lot of new stuff. Valkyrie Background
Described as fiery, fierce, bold and brash Kaira Imahara better known as Valkyrie is the daughter to Viper who some may know from Titanfall 2. When she was a child she stole her Dad’s Titan. As an adult she moved into a life of smuggling precious cargo by day and going shot for shot with mercs in the bars at night time.
She became obsessed with finding the man who put her father in harm’s way after he left on a mission and never returned. The responsible was his commander, Kuben Blisk. After sparing his life and taking his Apex Games card Valkyrie built her jetpack using the flight core from Viper’s Northstar and now here we are. With a brand new Legend for season 9.
Valkyrie Abilities
Valkyrie abilities revolve around making the most out of her jetpack. Not only do they make her able to cover ground quickly she can also have her teammates hook on and jet away. These abilities are perfect for escaping a sticky situation or turning a disadvantaged position into an advantage. Valkyrie is quickly able to create flanking moves, get to high ground or just traverse areas of the map more easily. She also has the use of offensive missiles that can lay down fire on an area.
Tactical Ability – Missile Swarm. Fire a swarm of mini-rockets that damage and disorient the enemy in the area of effect.
Passive Ability – VTOL Jets. Make use of Valkyries’ jetpack to fly. Fuel is a little limited so you will have to learn to master its use to get the best out of it. Fuel refills overtime.
Ultimate Ability – Skyward Dive. Launch yourself into the air and sky dive. With this ability your allies can also hook on to your take off and join your sky dive.
Apex Legends season 9 new legend, Valkyrie has given players a kit of abilities that can really change the way you play. Her mobility and aerial prowess can make her a formidable foe. Mastering the use of the jetpack can be the difference between being a good player and a great player. There are already loads of tips and tricks to getting the best out of her abilities.
