It’s almost unbelievable, comically so, to think that it’s March again. The last year has swept by in a haze of staying home, bringing us a second March so quick it feels like time has simply gone wrong.
But don’t let the latest gaming news sweep past you, here’s all the announcements and updates from the last two weeks in our Green Man Gaming News Roundup.
Pokémon 25th Anniversary Game Announcements
The Pokémon series has reached the grand old age of 25. To celebrate, the Pokémon Company held a livestream to show off what they’re working on, and it’s big. You can watch the full video below, but here’s what’s coming to Pokémon:
- New Pokémon Snap trailer shows off more of the Lental region, as well as the game’s multiplayer image sharing capabilities and research-based backstory.
- Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl remake the classic games, taking us back to Sinnoh with a reimagined art style and multiple enhancements.
- A brand new seamless open-world adventure set in a feudal version of Sinnoh called Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
All this means there’s more poké-fun on the horizon, and a lot more poké-pals to spend time with over the coming couple of years.
Elden Ring Trailer Leaks
Four brief clips have been leaked of the upcoming Elden Ring, the next game from Dark Souls maestros From Software. It’s not known at this time what stage the development of the eagerly-awaited game is at, or when the game will be released, but it’s great to get a brief look at it – even in the terrible quality the clips are recorded at.
We’re mostly excited about the chance to get on horseback, promising a more open approach to gaming than seen in previous From Software titles.
