Psychonauts 2 Nearing Release
Double Fine have released an update regarding the development of Psychonauts 2. In it, Time Schafer announced that the majority of the sequel is complete with all levels now in the game. The upcoming months will be used for polish and finishing off the game before release, which the studio has committed to achieving without crunch. So, it’s looking like 2021 may be the year of Psychonauts 2 after all.
20 Champions Swapping in to Teamfight Tactics
A huge update is incoming for Teamfight Tactics. Titled Festival of Beasts, it’ll release on the 20th of January and is set to shake up almost every aspect of the game. In it, 19 champions will rotate out and 20 champions will be added into the game. In addition there’ll be 7 new abilities, a battle pass, and a tonne more. The Arbiter May Return in Halo Infinite
Keith David, voice of many beloved characters such as Spawn, David Anderson, the Saints Row version of himself, and the Arbiter, has hinted that the famous alien may return in Halo Infinite. Caveats abound here as we do not have any confirmation that the Arbiter will be making its way back to the Halo universe, but a recent tweet from the veteran actor has implied that we may be seeing its alien face once again.
Nvidia RTX 3060 Ultra May be on the Way
A recent leak seems to point at an incoming beefier version of the RTX 3060 Ti. Made by Asus, the RTX 3060 Ultra appears to feature increased amounts of memory and a more capable cooling system, making this a powerful looking graphics card. With a price point of $449, this may be an attractive entry point for many gamers looking for an upgrade.
Rust Hits a Million Viewers on Twitch
Rust, the survival game from Facepunch Studios, has seen a surge of popularity – years after hitting Early Access in 2013 and a full release in 2018. Thanks to renewed interest over the Christmas holidays by streamers such as Shroud, Sodapoppin, xQc, and others – Rust has smashed through a million concurrent viewers on January the 3rd and hit the number one spot on the streaming platform. With streamers making big differences to the popularity of games over recent months, we have to wonder – what game will benefit next?
Future of The Elder Scrolls Teased
Over the new year, Bethesda gave a little cryptic teaser about the future of The Elder Scrolls series. This tweet of a map potentially includes some hints about where the series may be heading next, whether we’re talking about Elder Scrolls VI, Blades, Elder Scrolls Online, or another yet to be announced project we still don’t know. Bright lights on their map of Hammerfell and Skyrim indicate something happening in those areas – though we’ll have to wait and see if this is a cryptic reveal or simply some holiday cheer.
