The critically acclaimed Tales from the Borderlands is making a comeback. The choice-driven narrative game originally released over five years as an episodic adventure is returning to PC via Steam and the Epic Store. Additionally, it is making its way to both Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
Set between the events of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 3, an unlikely duo teams up to work together to try and get rich. You will experience the story from two different perspectives as both protagonists try to recover a load of cash they each believe they have claim over. Let’s take a close look at some of the Tales from the Borderlands characters you’ll be getting to know.
Fiona
First up in Tales from the Borderlands, Fiona. Who’s being voiced by Laura Bailey, well known for her role as Abby in The Last of Us Part 2. Fiona is a true con-artist who has been plotting and scheming for years to try and make a fortune by selling vault keys. Fiona is a stubborn, fearless character with a heart of gold and sarcastic sense of humour.
Rhys
Fiona teams up with Rhys, being voiced by that Troy Baker from virtually every popular video game you’ve played. Rhys is a company man who idolises Handsome Jack. He’s an ambitious man and is in the market for vault keys which is why he chooses to team up with Fiona. But naturally things don’t go so smoothly.
Sasha
Also joining the Tales from the Borderlands cast is Erin Yvette playing the role of Sasha. Erin has appeared in almost all the other Telltale games, plus Oxenfree, Fortnite and a load more. Sasha is the sister of Fiona and plays a big role in the scamming gig they both have been running. Throughout the adventure, Sasha will accompany Fiona with per positive and laid-back attitude.
Vaughn
Being the right hand person to our other protagonist in Tales from the Borderlands is Vaughn. Voiced by Chris Hardwick from Talking Dead, Vaughn is a loyal and dependable sidekick to Rhys. As best friends and Hyperion employees Rhys and Vaughn will (almost) always have each other’s backs.
Handsome Jack
Despite dying in Borderlands 2, Handsome Jack still manages to be one of the main antagonists in Tales from the Borderlands and he’s being voiced by Daemon Clarke, who has interpreted Jack throughout all the Borderlands games. Appearing as an AI only to Rhys in Tales from the Borderlands, Handsome Jack is always plotting some evil schemes, so watch your back and don’t trust him!
Throughout the five episodes included in the game, you’re going to get to know all of these Tales from the Borderlands characters very well. Plus many more, including series regulars such as Moxxie Zer0 and Claptrap. As they try to cheat, lie, steal their way out of any situation, you’ll be the one in control with choices being made that will impact the story and your relationships. Tales from the Borderlands is rereleasing as one big game, rather than individual episodes as before.
