Spooky season is over and it’s starting to get dark, but we can always rely on Microsoft’s generous Xbox Game Pass additions to provide some light in the deep dark tunnel that is our collective gaming backlogs. The Xbox Game Pass November 2021 outing is a particularly strong one thanks to a gigantic first-party release and a stream of third-party additions that will let you enjoy gaming classics in a new light.
If you’re looking to dig into some exciting new experiences this November, read on to check out our recommendations for this month and find out about every game coming to the Xbox Game Pass service in November 2021.
Unpacking
Nobody likes moving house. But the act of setting up your room in a new space, with the hope of new adventures in front of you and your problems in the rear view mirror is something that is deeply profound. Witch Beam’s Unpacking tries to crystallize and gamify these feelings, resulting in a decoration puzzle game that can be silly and smart, but always zen. If you want to forget about headshots, objectives and tough criteria, you should check out this charming little indie gem on 2nd November.
It Takes Two
A safe bet for many Game of the Year lists, Hazelight’s It Takes Two is one of the greatest games of 2021; a remarkable co-op game about two parents who are going through relationship troubles. Gamified couples therapy is a good way to put it, but it’s only deep in small pockets – most of the game is an endearing jaunt from Toy Story-style levels where you’ll solve puzzles and meet cute characters. Don’t miss this one!
Forza Horizon 5
Given Playground Games’ reliable track record, a new Forza Horizon game is always a guaranteed good time. The rave reviews speak for themselves, but this time the game is set in stunning Mexico, featuring tons of new cars and visual/mechanical upgrades that make Forza Horizon 5 more of an evolution than a revision of the winning format. Check it out when it races onto Game Pass this month.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition
One of the most seminal games in history, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is coming to Xbox Game Pass with souped-up graphics and style, ready for a whole new generation of players to call Grove Street home. With a superb, action-packed story and an open-world that still feels vibrant in spite of all the progress made with its sequels, you won’t want to miss revisiting this classic game when it lands on 11th November.
