HUNTSMAN: THE ORPHANAGE – AN ALTERNATIVE HORROR GAME
A hybrid of horror-survival gaming and ‘creepypasta’ storytelling that delivers rich dialogue, complex characters and atmospheric settings at the same time as it takes away violence as your only way out. No blood, no gore... just good old-fashioned suspense!
Huntsman: The Orphanage is an indie 3D first-person horror-mystery game, where your only equipment is your smartphone and your only weapon is your wits.
Seek out the stories and search for the lost mementoes of the missing orphans, brave the hedge-maze to deliver each item to its original owner’s memorial to help set them free. Explore the old Orphanage buildings and grounds as you investigate the legend of The Huntsman and discover the truth of the children's disappearances, but beware of Huntsman himself - he still stalks the hallways and mazes... and his embrace is inescapable!
While this game is non-violent, it is not suitable for young or impressionable people due to the intense nature of its supernatural themes. Learn more at www.shadowshifters.com
I don't even know why i played it. I got it in a mystery pack and didn't even know what it was but i played it and man that was scary. If you like this sort of fear then it's great but i gave it a 85 rather than a 100 because i couldn't sleep that night.
Huntsman: The Orphanage is a solid horror game that offers an unsettling experience and a memorable one at that. Good for a play through on those nights where you cant help wanting to give your heart a bit of a workout without leaving your chair. Has a few issues, none that are game-breaking however. Overall its worth your consideration.
Huntsman is cool horror game which I recommends with some hesitations. If you have tons of time to spent the game is for you, it is in small map in where you need to find a lot of small things. Go through mazes, solve puzzles and save the twelve missing orphans. Find the twelve missing orphans mementos and find there place to save them. But you have to do it fast of you'll be hunted by the HUNTSMAN. Good Luck!
Huntsman: The Orphanage is one of those very rare games that has an interesting idea for a game, and it works pretty well. It is one of those games that whilst you can watch people play it, the only way to really get the full experience of the game is to play it yourself. I also like how they take the sound of a ticking clock and make it something that you will learn to fear. I have lost count the amount of times I thought I heard it in game and breathed a sigh of relief when I realised it was the clock on my wall that I heard, Which to me shows how atmospheric the game is if they can make me get scared by my own clock. The stories that each of the characters have to tell also add to the games atmosphere. And they have gotten a Ripley's Believe It or Not master to create the maze that the Huntsman calls home. This is a rare gem of a game, with so many games out there going for the jump scare tactic. It is a nice refreshing change to play something that goes for atmospheric horror
If you like creepypasta, then this is the game you should try. The gameplay is maybe rusty, but the artistic direction works, and the story is interesting enough to let you play the game until the end. Give it a try if you can.
