Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - Deluxe Edition amplifies the 2.5-D game with new maps, enemy encounters, difficulty levels, batsuits, and enhanced visuals. A companion game to Batman: Arkham Origins, players can continue the storyline of the console version and discover more details of the Dark Knight’s past. Featuring stealth gameplay, free-flow combat, and Batman’s famed arsenal of gadgets, the genuine Arkham experience is reproduced in a deep, action packed side-scrolling adventure.

You have to admit that unfortunately you can hear and feel that this is a conversion from portable consoles. The graphics in the game are pretty average (except for the phenomenally made comic film inserts), the game also has clunky controls and this is very annoying. However, the storyline is good and the fact that we meet a lot of famous criminals from the Universe Batman also makes you want to play. I only recommend to the hardcore fans of Batman, others will not enjoy.
This game is nothing less and nothing more than a port from 3DS and Playstation Vita - it's the same game, only on the big screen of your PC. The only and most interesting difference between this game and the main Batman Arkham series is that it is 2,5D, which is actually interesting concept, but it's sadly done poorly. Story is good and it's the only reason that will keep you playing. Pick it up when on discount, then it will be totally worth it, because there is not enough content to justify full price.
If you're looking for a fun addition to the Batman franchise, I'd recommend it. If you're looking for a good platformer, hold off on it. For now. Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate adds a good story upon Arkham Origins' original one that will keep any Batman fan interested to the end. However, in terms of gameplay, it's not too good. Not for a Batman game nor a platformer.
A horrible port of a mediocre game! It's basically a 2D Side scroller(with 3D graphics). The game tries hard, but fails to impress Arkham fans. The arkham games are known for their open world, and allowing you to feel what it's like to be the batman! This thing? Very Linear! No real exploration, and just a bad experience all around.
This game is not good... Only for maniacs of a batman arkham series. Gameplay is hidious, some strange 2,5D not precised and having worst cutscenes i saw in video game history. It's so bad and ugly game, worth to play only for a storyline and nothing more. I made through the game, but it was painful, not entertaining, placing this game as a really horrible experience. They just shouldn't made that tittle, or made a comic book, visual novel, movie, slideshow, or normal 3d game like Arkham Origins/Asylum/City, not this... That one is just a catastrofy, if you starving for another portion of Bruce adventure and you accepting the terms of that game it's ok, as a plot is good in some ways but as a gameplay it's embarassment for the franchise, they just served that story in really bad way. Buy, launch, play (or at least try) and ... just let it go. Best solution in my private opinion.
