There's not much more to say about this game that hasn't already been said. It's a stunningly beautiful and extremely mechanically demanding action platformer. The soundtrack is absolutely amazing as well. It is 100% worth the price, and I urge anyone with even the slightest interest to pick it up to show the industry that taking risks and innovating (at least in presentation, the gameplay has been around for a while) is still profitable.
Cuphead is one of those games that'a hard to put down, it's very difficult but really rewarding once you finally get through it. The graphics are gorgeous and when you die you can be instantly back in the action which is good because you will die, a lot! It has a great look and feel to it and brings back fond memories of games i played as a kid.
If I want to describe cuphead, I say this is an artwork made by artists. a work that highlights the value of the independent games to a large number of people, and reminds us that we should not let the big companies make the experience of these precious works delayed. Cuphead has truly came up with ideas that will definitely shows that it's not from big company's green light, and may only be created by some creative creators who have done this because of their passion for game making. ?The game, in the design of the environments, has been greatly successful, original and fascinating musics, and bosses which designed to look and fight different. Cuphead induces a sweetness that can not be found elsewhere. The sense of sweetness that drowned during the many hours between those moments made me sure of one thing. maybe its hard to finish the game and defeat all the giant bosses, but the work that the creators of this masterpiece have done, is much much much much .. difficult and harder. So to honor the game and it be respected, it must be experienced and go into its world. A world where I proudly say that for the first time i was a Cuphead hero!
I bought the game through Steam and if I could describe it with single sentence; 'This game is dark souls if it was turned into a plat-former, Disney funded it and it was meant to be release on a SNES as one of those old games you don't play anymore because of that one level yet you still choose to play it because it's still fun to play.' The downside, I've had trouble with the run and gun levels because they ALL act like that '1' level from any game paid; a prime example being that monkey maze puzzle from Lion King or the 'Meat' level from the ORIGINAL Psychonauts before they made it easier in the PC re-release. Don't get me wrong though, going in blind or even going in with what you know to expect, this game will take your head for a spin and is a joy to play. The enemies are colorful besides the choices in color chosen to represent old fashion cartoons. The boss fights change mid fight, such as one minute, your fighting a boss and their fighting ability and fight paths are predictable until they change using some cartoon power to become something else and that old strategy is no longer useful, you have to come up with something else! It's worth playing. If Disney is playing or watch, if they want another Epic Mickey Game, attempt this style lads and mates!
Artistically it is a delight, it transports us to the 20s with its design and its soundtrack of a masterful way. Challenging, playfully addictive, great variety of bosses and mechanics. Pure magic!" Cuphead is a game that is based mainly on the "Boss Rush". Each battle lasts about two minutes, so anyone can think it's a short game. Well, the game itself has a total of 19 bosses so the game should be able to be completed in less than an hour. Nothing further from reality, Cuphead's duration is based on its extremely difficult and replayability. As for the difficulty I must point out that Cuphead is not a game for everyone. Those people who do not enjoy difficult games will find Cuphead a frustrating experience. To give you an idea, there are a couple of enemies that have cost me more than 2 hours to defeat them (maximum 2 minutes for battles you can calculate the times I had to repeat the battle)
