After a deadly circus fire shatters his world and tarnishes his name, Dropsy the Clown finds himself on a journey of self-discovery through a story that harnesses powerful themes of love and unmerited kindness. With his father gravely ill and the world turning its back on the once celebrated clown, Dropsy will need to help those in need, hug total strangers, and unearth dark secrets on the winding road to redemption. Oh, and Dropsy can also talk to animals.
Dropsy is a non-traditional take on the classic point and click adventure formula starring the game's perpetually carefree namesake clown as he explores a richly detailed world full of colorful characters and sinister secrets, doling out hugs along the way. Rather than lead players on a singular narrative path, players are free to determine which avenues of adventure they want to explore in an open world setting and can piece the puzzles and story together however they choose.
Open World Adventure – Players are free to choose which avenues of adventure they want to explore in an open world setting and can piece the puzzles and story together however they choose.
Puzzles and Hugs – Challenging puzzles and complex conundrums stand between Dropsy and his goal of redemption but with some clever thinking and cheerful hugs, Dropsy can change his luck and win the hearts of the people around him.
Text Free Experience – Communicate with a bizarre and colourful cast of characters through an innovative use of visual icons rather than traditional text-based dialog trees.

Dropsy is an outstanding point and click adventure game. It tells the story of a clown named Dropsy, whose life purpose is to show love to all beings and things that he meets in his way. The game world, as for point and click production, is big, and the storyline is multi-threaded. When I first tried the game, it seemed to me that it would be another, low-budget title that tries to pretend to be a funny game. Dropsy, however, proved that it is possible to combine absurd humor with great narration. I hope in the near future I will playmore such productions.
Dropsy really swung under my radar. I had heard nothing of it when I first got to play it, I only knew it had some positive reviews. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! In dropsy, you control a clown called Dropsy (big surprise there!) and will meet several characters on your way. And also hug them. See, Dropsy has lost his reputation and has to get it back. And really, he is a very sympathetic clown, this is portrayed very strongly through the presentation. Oh, the marvellous presentation! Although the graphics are from the pixelated era of adventure games, the art style tugs on your heartstrings like nothing has since the 90s. Did I already mention I loved the old school adventure games? Because I did. And Dropsy really hits all the right chords to play a happy tune inside me. Do yourself a favor and buy and play this. It won't take 10 minutes before it has conquered your heart.
This game is basically the embodiment of "wtf". The designs, the story, the characters, and especially the things you can do as Dropsy are so bizarre but it's too fascinating to not keep going. You're not going to get a deep story or impressive character development, but you will get bizarre humor and an odd fascination that'll likely keep your attention, possibly for the wrong reasons.
This game doesn't clown around: it hits hard with the story and presentation from the get go, and delivers a Point and Click adventure experience that will tug on your heart strings, and will make the concerns of your day go away. And yet, beyond the surface is a story that has underlying themes that don't hit you heavy handed with them, but cause those looking for them to think about what they truly mean. Dropsy is definitely worth your time and money if you've played any sort of point and click adventure and remotely enjoyed it, and the few faults that can be found are overshadowed heavily by the game's charm and it's ability to evoke feeling.
