Amazingly Hard and Fun!

Another platformer that's akin to Braid or Limbo in that it is a dark puzzle platform game. In short, you control a firefly/girl (Mion) in order to maneuver them through shadows and past shadow monsters. All you need is your mouse, no keyboard necessary! Despite the control scheme simplicity, I found that it's a game based on trial and error rather than button mashing. The puzzles are your standard fare but the bosses are what really drew in me because you have to use the environment to defeat them. I found this to be very refreshing because so many characters today are able to destroy bosses by themselves without aid. This was not only a new approach at boss battles but also a genre redefining moment for me. I will, however, note that I was extremely frustrated at many parts of the game because one mistake will often end your life. I highly recommend htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary to anyone who wants to play a challenging platform game!
