I have played Shadow of War for about 700 hours and completed all its achievements and If you have completed the main game, get this great expansion pass, This pack contains a lot of new contents such as new tribes, additional single player campaign, new online missions and so on. Undoubtedly, I have spent best moments in Middle-earth: Shadow of War and must say, using this Expansion pack, you can experience hundred of hours in beautiful world of Lord of the Rings. Enjoy playing this Expansion Pass with the main game.
I'm really sad that this expansion pass is not what it was expected to be and it disappointed me immensely. First of all, let's talk about the tribes. Expansion is such a huge word, meaning it is meant to be much more than DLC, and the price of those (12 pounds each) makes it sound like a big deal. Sadly, it isn't, and it is incredible how poor on content it is. You might've expected maybe a new tribe coming with new fortress for you to take? After all, that's what it sounds like and what you could gather from description in the beginning (now they slightly changed it), with new tribe coming with new fortress and quests, it sounded awesome! Turns out, you get a few small nemesis mission quests with orcs from new tribes. That's it. No new fortress, only new type of nemesis mission, which are fun to play, because the game itself is really great, but to call it expansion and charge this much? It is completely not worth it. Other DLC also sound like major disappointment, because instead of being some kind of fun expansion on the end-game of shadow of war (making it more engaging in Shadow Wars - sounds logical, right?) it will be about 2 side characters that are Eltariel and Baranor, characters so unremarkable and boring, I had to look their names up, even though I still play this game. What's worse about those 2 expansions is that it will remove all the fun nemesis system shenanigans and instead replace it with getting an army, making it pretty much a boring siege extension without the awesome powers that Talion has. Overall, while story is Shadow of War was ok and had one of the best turns in years in act 3, there was nothing else to talk about. Talion worked as a hero, because his goal was simple and he was simple, only caring about getting rid of off Sauron. For the purpose of revenge story, it worked, but since other characters were mind bogglingly boring, there is no hope. Really not worth it, unless you are completionist, grab the game as GOTY or this expansion pass will go on some crazy low sale. It doesn't bring anything making it worth the price of admission. I sadly can't recommend it and I still cry that this expansion pass is such a wasted potential.
