Originally released 1996, Normality has finally found its way to the Steam platform and modern machines. The game tells you a story of a guy who just want to live his life like he wants in a society that wants you to live by the standards it has set for the people. A society that pressures people into Normality. The game is a traditional point & click but told from the first person view which could be seen as cumbersome for the gamers of this generation. If you can look past the odd controls you will find some very good puzzles, an intriguing world and story and a very good pastime in this adventure. I suggest you checkout some gameplay from Youtube first, though, since I've heard some people get annoyed by the protagonists voice. It didn't trouble me, but I thought it would be wise to warn you. His voice is a little smug, perhaps. Hard to describe, easier if you check it out. Here is a link for you -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nY81Mv_BITM
This game was amazing when it came out in 1996 and surprisingly it still holds up pretty well. Graphic wise it had a very nice 3D + 2D elements that made it's cartoony/goofy vibe really pop up, and even tho in the screenshots it doesn't look that good, in motion is quite nice. Gameplay wise, it's basically what you would expect of graphical point and click adventures (like Monkey Island or Day of the Tentacle for example) but in a 3D-First person view format. If you are not familiar with those games, you basically need to solve certain problems by using tools you find in the world. The world itself its quite crazy, weird characters and has an interesting plot revolving a city that has been taken under control. Just like Monkey Island, there are some nice dozes of humour. All in all, i'd recommend it, graphically it may be a bith phased, but if you enjoy the genre i'd recommend to check the game out.
