I would be able to say that it is one of the best RPGs I have played, with current things but with retro graphics, but still keeping the essence of a good rpg a great soundtrack, a beautiful setting and a great content in the Game as such in excellent combat style, definitely one of the best RPGs
A thoroughly fun and enjoyable throwback to the classic JRPGs of old. Beautiful graphics and soundtrack, an enjoyable battle system, and some silly and self-aware writing. If you're a fan of the classic JRPG genre, this may be the game you've been looking for. A fun, exciting foray into the days of old, but with a modernised eye for design. The game will tug at your nostalgic heartstrings, in many ways (the music especially reminded me of so many old SNES RPGs), but it does so without relying on the nostalgia as its only selling point. At its core, it remains a solid, simple JRPG, the likes of which are few and far between these days, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to revisit that classic style with a new age twist.
Shadows of Adam is a JRPG that is inspired by old-school SNES-era JRPG titles. It chronicles the journey of two inhabitants of Adam, a remote village, as they travel an expansive world to find their missing father one decade after his disappearance. The story is charming, relatable and strongly supported by mostly intuitive game design and fast gameplay. After talking to just a few NPCs, it is possible to quickly become engrossed in learning about every aspect of the lore that you possibly can to get clues for future events and side quests. Despite being influenced by games designed for older hardware, it spares no resources in presenting itself as a clean and visually and audibly aesthetic title that takes advantage of modern system capabilities. Most importantly, Shadows of Adam is just plain fun.
