Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 Siberian Strike is set in an isolated Siberian location and will offer a more open world experience for solving missions. Players will not be guided and the only way to find their way through the new location is by using the map.
In the remote abandoned Siberian city of Birsovik, the Russian government established a top secret military installation focused on arms R&D. American intelligence gets word that the facility shifted its focus recently to weapons of mass destruction. A CIA operative, M. Diaz is sent in undercover, posing as lab personnel, to uncover the truth. When he stops sending in reports, a search mission is quickly put together.
The player steps in the shoes of Cole “Sandman” Anderson, a veteran special ops sniper, now in the ranks of Task 121 – a group put together to counter any WMD-hungry warlord’s whim in the Asia – Pacific region. Anderson is ordered to locate Diaz’s GPS signal and assess the situation on the ground, then extract any intelligence he may have found.

A well need addition to the short single player campaign available in the base game. Graphics are very good, same goes for the overall sound design. You don't get to do much however, as the playthrough feels a bit on rails with no side quests or NPCs to interact with. Given the price tag, one would expect more than an hour+ add-on campaign. Missed opportunity here.
This DLC is a-must but ONLY on a sale , in my opinion. And the reason is because the base game is too short, and thankfully this DLC provides around 1 and a half hour of more gameplay with these few missions. What I didn't like of this DLC, is that although the environment of the game is really nice and the graphics are fantastic, it's that... the map is big and you can go anywhere you want, BUT there's really not many stuff to do, like extra enemies hidden somewhere or something like that. It's more like looking the place without being blocked anywhere. Maybe it's just me, but because the base game blocks some parts of each map and don't let you go anywhere you want, I expected more to be there. The missions are not too many, but the maps are big and there is still a story behind those missions. Nonetheless, the DLC provides a little more content to focus on. Now, the price on the other hand... is not fair. Thankfully I got it in a sale and I'm satisfied, or else, I would highly regret it. Recommended for people who want more of the game. My rating: 86/100
This game is actually surprisingly good after the first. Please ignore GhostsofWar he is obviously a SEV2 fanboy. Pros-- -Great Visuals (CryEngine 3 baby) -Fixed AI (Ignore GhostsofWar he must just really suck... They are smarter with their attacks, they dont see you after you shoot from 500m away with a silenced rifle, They dont detect you when you are hiding pretty close with a ghillie suit, they dont have aimbots, etc.) -Plays a lot smoother than 1st/less clunky gameplay -Smooth and clean menu -Way more sniping knowledge needed. aka less hand holding Cons-- -Minor bugs, but it is only 10 hours from launch at time of writing. Patches will come. -Multiplayer is very fun, but that is the most bugged. Very rarely connects to lobbies, 1 game mode, 2 maps. But when you do get in -and that's what I'm judging on- its awesome. And like I said before 10 hours in... Patches will come...
Definitely a worthwhile add-on if you enjoyed Sniper Ghost Warrior 2. Very different environment from the main game. The falling snow seems a little too real! Not really as "open-world" as the description makes it out to be, but not entirely scripted either.
