A Humorous, Thrilling Adventure With A KNOCKOUT ENDING!
"Martian Memorandum" is the second, after "Mean Streets" game starring the unlucky detective Tex Murphy. This is a typical point-and-click adventure that preserves the specific atmosphere of the first game, but it also eliminates its biggest flaws. The gameplay is again focused on interrogating witnesses and extracting information from them. However, there are many more opportunities to search the site than it did in the previous section. Although in many places we still can die, the arcade elements have been eliminated. There are situations that require precise control of the hero. Unfortunately, the interface does not help - you can be very irritated. Still it's a good classic.
Yet another excellent Tex Murphy game for those who can bear over 25-years-old humour and very rusty visuals. Yes, while you can assume the story is funny in its own way and gameplay can be enjoyable, the graphics cannot be considered anything but amusing. So much has changed over the last two decades, that the digitized actors that were state-of-the art back in the early 90s, are nothing but funny now. In fact it is a very good adventure game, but believe me, getting through the terribly aged graphics takes a pretty open-minded player, even if you remember the time when the game was all the rage.
