Through the Woods: Collector's Edition includes:
Through the Woods is a third-person Norse horror adventure set in a forest on the western shores of Norway that tells the story of a mother and her missing son. Through reactive narration, the player experiences the mother’s re-telling of the events surrounding her son’s disappearance. Players follow the path of a terrified woman who has forced herself to enter this terrible place for the sole purpose of finding her son, in a setting heavily influenced by Norse mythology and Norwegian folk tales.
Through the Woods is not your typical horror game, even though it does not aspire to be something more ambitious that regular horror game but it's enough interesting to give this game a shot as it's quite cool, for 20$ of asking price we get a decent visual setting, great sound and a simple yet accessible story. Good deal.
Begin with pluses of this game: - Rather good graphics not only for indi-games. - Interesting main character. - A good postscoring of the speech, in some places in general without emotions, but generally quite good. - A variety of characters opponents. - Good idea of a game. Minuses are: - Lack of any plot, at the beginning of the game we can notice though some succession of events, however, stupid bustle from monsters, search of the son begins then. - Informidable characters opponents, we will meet any monster once, the second time you won't be afraid of him to meet again.
