ZeniMax Online Studios and Bethesda have unveiled details of the new Homestead update for The Elder scrolls Online.
This is the next major update for the game which will allow players to buy and customise there very own housing within the game. Players will be able to acquire 40 different homes across the entire Elder Scrolls online gaming world.
The variety of different homes and living spaces ranges from a small living space within an inn to huge manor estates with vast gardens and outdoor spaces. Initially each home and living space will be styled after one of the games 10 playable races, but then this can be changed once the property has been acquired by the player.
Acquirable homes will be located within the Base zones of the game, this means you will not need any of the DLC expansions in order to make the most of the Homestead update.
Players will also be able to fully customise their new home as they are able to buy or craft over 2,000 furniture and decorative items using the existing crafting skills within game. These items include tables, chairs, chests, beds, bars and counters. Players can also craft decorative items such as books, food, barrels, paintings, light fixtures, plants, trees, and more. Players will then have the freedom to place their newly acquired items anywhere within their homes by using the games brand new housing editor. This will enable the player to make their houses truly unique.
Experienced players will also get an extra added bonus as they will be able to display the trophies they have acquired from dungeons, trials, and arenas. All players will also have the opportunity to place pets, mounts, and useful functional items in their homes. Functional items include Assistants, Crafting Stations, working light fixtures, and even Target Skeletons.
The Homestead update is expected to be released in February 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Mac as a free update for all Elder Scrolls Online players. You can watch the first look trailer below.
