PS4 Update 4.50 Details Announced

Sony has announced the next PS4 update, for the popular console’s system. Update 4.50 will bring a lot of new features to the console and is currently in beta access.

Here is what you can expect from the update, which hasn’t been given a launch date as of yet.

  •  The extremely sort after External HDD Support which is compatible with a HDDs up to 8TB. Please note: user save files are still stored locally on your PS4 HDD. Only games and applications are stored externally.
  • A Custom Wallpaper update will allow you to change your PS4 home screen, to in captured in game shots of all your favourite games. You’ll also be able to use drop shadow on text and system icons and texts will be more visible.
  • Quick Menu will now be easier to use and cover less of your gameplay screen, making playing online with friends a lot more accessible.
  • Your notifications will be simplified in the new and improved Notifications List, with a condensed list that explains each notification clearly.
  • Playing more on the Activity Feed, your content will now be more shareable with friends and those who are playing the same game as you. By tagging your game, or sharing gifs, text, screenshots and posts instantly.
  • You will be able to view 3D blue ray movies on your PlayStation VR!
