Bandai Namco have announced today that their new game Code Vein, which will be hitting major home consoles in 2018.
Here is a description of the game’s setting from Bandai Namco: “In the not too distant future, a mysterious disaster has brought collapse to the world, as we know it. Towering skyscrapers, once symbols of prosperity, are now lifeless graves of humanity’s past pierced by the Thorns of Judgment. At the centre of the destruction lies a hidden society of Revenants called Vein. This final stronghold is where the remaining few fight to survive, blessed with Gifts of power in exchange for their memories and a thirst for blood. Give into the bloodlust fully and risk becoming one of the Lost, fiendish ghouls devoid of any remaining humanity.”
Gameplay wise, players will take control of a Vampiric Revenant who will be able to access a plethora of supernatural powers after they consume blood. Players will also be able to explore an expansive world armed with their supernatural shapeshifting powers. Players will also be able to bring along an in-game buddy to help explore this mysterious world.
A specific release date hasn’t been drilled down yet, neither has any confirmation about a PC release of the game. We’ll keep you up to date as soon as more information arises.
