New Walking Dead Game Delayed Again

Overkill's The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead game from Overkill, the developers of the Payday series has been delayed until 2018.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead was first announced in 2014 and was described by the developers as a “completely new co-op experience” to The Walking Dead universe which explores new characters and storylines.

The game was scheduled to come out in 2016, it was then delayed for a 2017 release. It has now been delayed a second time in a news release from Starbreeze, the studio that owns Overkill. According to an article by IGN the developers need more time to “expand on its original vision for the game and realize the title’s full potential,” The same was said when the game was delayed in 2017, as Overkill wanted to add “more content” to the game. They also wanted to create an Asian version that would launch simultaneously with the western addition of the game.
