Last week the team behind Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds held a charity tournament. This resulted in nearly quarter of a million dollars raised for charity.
The team raised funds for the charity Gamers Outreach, the charity “eases the burdens of hospitalization by providing equipment, technology and software to help kids cope with treatment.” During the tournament, the Battlegrounds community raised more that $120,000. The games developer and publisher Bluehole matched the first $100,000. By the end of the event a total of $223,357 was raised.
