Destiny 1 Won’t Be Getting Anymore Updates

Destiny 1

Now that Destiny 2 will soon arrive, Bungie has confirmed that it does not plan to release any more updates for the first game.

In an entry posted on the official Bungie blog over the weekend, the developer highlighted that the Age of Triumph update for Destiny 1 is the game’s final update. Bungie stated that “In our constant watch over the community, we’ve heard many of you asking if the current sandbox will get another design pass. Our sole focus at this time is Destiny 2,”

Bungie then went on to confirm that “All hands at Bungie are committed to making Destiny 2 the sequel that this community deserves”.

The blog post then reassured fans as it went onto sate that “One thing you can count on when it comes to Destiny is ongoing assistance to keep you connected and informed. Destiny Player Support is committed to serving that purpose, even after Destiny 2 launches.”

Destiny 2 releases this September for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. It is expected that Bungie may be releasing more information about Destiny 2 at E3.
