According to the research firm Superdata, the digital games market has brought in $7.8 billion worldwide in May. That is a 9% jump year on year.

This growth has been attributed to mobile games which have been up 16% year on year, Free to play games which are up 17% and pay-to-play games which are up 12%. However, the digital console sales have shrunk 7% year over year even though Injustice 2 managed to top 5000,000 sales digitally on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
