Rocket League gets a new language ban system, which automatically bans players from online matches after they’re reported using certain words in a chat.
The initial list is 20 words, including variants, with the list planning to evolve over time to include phrases from multiple languages. Although developers Psyonix have declined to make the list public, they have said how it works,
“Each word has its own threshold, and once a threshold for any word has been reached, that player will be automatically subject to a ban. These bans will typically start at 24 hours, then escalate to 72 hours, one week, and finally, a permanent ban.”
This comes after the developers commented on the majority of reports of online in-game abuse and harassment.
