Blizzard recently announced new Overwatch patch, which includes Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch is now live across PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Two new modes called Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch. Deathmatch will limit the amount to eight players, whilst Team Deathmatch will stick to the six on six. The first player to reach 20 points in Deathmatch, wins. Similarly Team Deathmatch works the same way, but adds an interesting feature, if a player is resurrected before they respawn, then the kill does not count, there is a maximum 30 point kill score limit.
Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan explained regarding Arcade that Blizzard initially “didn’t think Deathmatch was right for the game, but opened up our ability as developers to introduce game modes to you guys that we wouldn’t normally feel comfortable putting in the Quick Play or Competitive rotation.”
A new escort map called Junkertown will be added, as well as hero updates and bug fixes. You can find the full patch notes on the Play Overwatch website, along with instructions on how to participate.
