PUBG Hit With Negative Reviews Following In-game Ads In China


Players in China were complaining of lag from local servers and being forced into joining European or NA games, which has resulted in migrant players bringing their own lag, making the game sometimes ‘unplayable’, PC Gamer reports.

To combat the issue, Bluehole has used a VPN accelerator service to help players in China connect to games quicker. However, the service comes with in-game advertisements. Players have expressed on Steam that with paying for the game, advertisements shouldn’t be included.

PUBG has now been hit with nearly 10,000 negative reviews as a result of the in-game advertisements. Developer Bluehole has yet to comment.
