Fortnite Reaches 500K Concurrent Users Less Than Two Weeks After Going FTP

The team behind Epic Games’ Fortnite Battle Royale mod announced a peak concurrent user count of 525,000 this Sunday in a tweet yesterday.

This comes after the game mode for Epic’s PVE focused shooter was released as free to play on the 26th of September.

In comparison it took Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds roughly 5 months from its launch to reach the 500K concurrent player mark according to Steam.db.
