The early access game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will leave early access this December, after hitting 2 million concurrent players on Steam and topping the Steam charts since launch.
This will also coincide with the launch of the game on the Xbox platform on December 12th, and will feature the much anticipated new desert-themed map. This will be the first new map to be released in PUBG’s 10 month lifespan.
In an interview, PUBG Corp CEO Chang Han Kim has stated that they will be following feedback for the Xbox version closely, and will let it guide the console version of the game, even if it becomes different to the PC version.
Ahead of that, the update for next week will bring vaulting and climbing to PUBG on PC.
