Nintendo apologises for mobile Animal Crossing issues

Animal Crossing on mobile was incredibly successful on launch, so much so that the servers were overloaded and the game was plagued with issues since launch.

Similar to Pokemon Go last year, Animal Crossing was a surprise success, but now with so many people trying to play, many players are unable to connect to the servers. This had led to Nintendo releasing a public apology, stating that “the issue is still occurring intermittently, but please be aware that we are investigating it and will resolve it as soon as possible.”

They have given all accounts 20 Leaf Tickets to apologise, the game’s in-game premium currency. All players who log in in the next month will be able to claim it.
