THQ Nordic has unveiled a teaser trailer which provides an insight into its forthcoming game Biomutant.
The third-person open-world action-RPG game, from the publisher which recently acquired Koch Media to become something of a European games powerhouse and the developer Experiment 101, will feature a martial arts combat style. As the trailer shows, that combat will support various weapons, both close-up and ranged, with a grappling hook playing a key part in traversal of the game-world.
If the trailer is anything to go by, Biomutant should be a very fine-looking game indeed, taking place in a stylised but beautiful fantasy world populated by exotic creatures. Biomutant’s official website describes the game thus: “Biomutant’s unique design lets players change their character’s abilities and appearance with powerful mutations, bionic prosthetics and weapons. Grow claws, sprout wings, or attach a robotic leg – each choice will impact the way your hero plays in real-time combat that blends melee martial arts and firearms. Biomutant is a kung fu fable filled with fantastic creatures to discover, dangerous factions to navigate, and colourful worlds to explore with mechs, paragliders, balloons, mounts, jet skis and more.”
Slated for 2018 release on PS4, Xbox One and PC, Biomutant’s precise release date currently remains unclear. However, you can keep an eye on its website if you seek further information about it.
