Blizzard has unveiled the programme for BlizzCon 2018, which will take place from November 2 to 3 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California.
Fans of Blizzard games like Overwatch, Hearthstone, World of Warcraft and StarCraft II will have to be alert in May: there will be two ticket sales for BlizzCon: the first on Thursday, May 10 starting at 3am BST, and the second on Saturday May 12 at 18.00 BST. Blizzard says: “Tickets include two-day admission to the main event in Anaheim on November 2 and 3, and attendees will receive a commemorative BlizzCon goody bag containing a cache of loot for their favourite Blizzard games.” Details can be found on the official website.
The build-up to BlizzCon will include plenty of e-sports action, taking place between October 25 and 29 at the Blizzard Arena Los Angeles. There, Blizzard says, “The initial rounds of the StarCraft II World Championship Series Global Finals, the Heroes of the Storm Global Championship Finals, and World of Warcraft Arena World Championship Finals will unfold. The competitions will culminate in Anaheim on November 2 and 3, where the champions of these tournaments along with those of the Overwatch World Cup and Hearthstone Global Games will be crowned.”
Mike Morhaime, CEO of Blizzard Entertainment, said: “BlizzCon is our favourite time of the year at Blizzard. It’s our chance to meet and really get to know the people behind the terran commanders, demon hunters, and Tracer mains we play with every day—to share our passion for games and e-sports with each other, and celebrate what being in the Blizzard community is all about.”
All the info about what will be taking place at BlizzCon, how to tune into streams of the event and even links to hotel bookings can be found here on the BlizzCon website. Make sure you keep an eye on it as November approaches.
